Sun, Family & Fishing

It was yet another great weekend for us. It’s so hard to believe that it’s nearing the end of the summer already! Saturday Jake, Peyton and I headed in to Bozeman to look at some hardwood colors for our floors in our new house. We decided that it was something we wanted to do before moving our furniture into the place and then having to deal with moving it out again. We finally picked a color that we love and will get on ordering it ASAP. We also had a nice lunch at the Oak Street Natural Market and did some golf club shopping for fun.
On Sunday, my dad and I floated the Jefferson River and had an exciting fishing excursion. We caught about 12 fish between the two of us and lost zero lures. Quite a successful day if I say so myself! It was sunny, hot with a casual breeze, and a great time. Dad caught a massive rainbow, which was his biggest catch all season thus far. It was a beautiful fish. He also managed to hook about a 3-4lb brown, which was very exciting. I managed to catch about 5 2-2 ½ lb browns and rainbows and a few more tiny little guys not worth writing about. Ha! All in all, it was such a great way to spend the day with my dad.

Catch of the Day!  Dad and his 4lb+ rainbow.

A cow river block? Apparently the farmer's fence was not working as it should have been.
