Our little chickie enjoyed every second of her first trick or treating experience on the town. First stop was at Grandpa & Grandma Strickland's house to pick up her self-made candy bucket courtesy of Grandpa Jeff and to show off to Autie Laci. She thinks that she is quite the funny gal in her costume.
Next it was off down the street to a few good friends' houses for some sweet sugar. Peyton trucked up the sidewalk unassisted and only had one wipe out without tears due to the chicken costume padding. Ha! We headed to Teresa and Alan Roadarmel's house to check out the giant purple blow up spider and to receive a tasty red tootsie pop from Teresa.
Off to Grandpa Bill and Jana's house next for some more sucker fun and to show off my chicken costume yet again (I never get enough of this).
Last, we headed to Great Grandpa and Grandma Strickland's house for one more piece of candy a nice hello before heading home.
We missed most of the trick or treaters at our house, which left a hefty bowl of goodies for Peyton to sift through on top of the treats she scored from her trick or treating night on the town. Candy is just so interesting, and she didn't eat one piece of it. Ha!
(Peyton got a new comfy mattress for her bed and we were mattress surfing on the old one before it got tossed out...safely though of course)
Peyton is very much like her mommy and LOVES red licorice!
